Datin Normal Bt Mat Jusoh from the Department of Computer Graphics and Multimedia, Faculty of Science Computer and Information Systems has been accepted to represent UTM and Malaysia in KOGIA Research Program for Asian Game Developers 2009 (Jun to December). This is seen as a new phase for the international collaboration between UTM and KOGIA. That is the collaboration has moved from staff industrial placement to collaborative research. UTM and KOGIA agreed that the collaboration within the MoU signed would include education , reciprocal exchange of scholars and students , training the trainers’ programs , joint research , exchange of research data and information which can be leveraged on to enhance academic publication.

Our main objective to organize international collaboration is to share the diverse , rich cultural resources and benefit from cultural network and identity of Asian countries so that it will be possible to develop unique games and interactive simulation for global human , commercial and industrial development. This cultural collaborative experience from the community of practice in the same field will introduce new elements into the design of games and interactive simulation that will make games and interactive simulation more relevant and applicable in the entertainment, service and manufacturing industries which are presently experiencing harsh economic downturn.
